Iranian actor Hadi Hejazifar has two films on the silver screen during Nowruz.
'Lottery' and 'Damascus Time' are the two films currently on show at Iranian movie theaters featuring Hejazifar in starring roles.
Mohammad-Hossein Mahdavian's 'Lottery' narrates a story of those dreaming of migration while Hatamikia’s ‘Damascus Time’ focuses on security threat by terrorists when an Iranian plane, conveying humanitarian aid to Syria, is challenged at Damascus Airport.
Hadi Hejazifar is a prominent actor in theater and cinema who has done remarkable acting in ‘Standing in the Dust’ and ‘Midday Event’ by Mohammad-Hossein Mahdavian over the past two years and his appearance in the latter won him a nom for Best Actor in a Leading Role Crystal Simorgh at 35th edition of Fajr Film Festival.
He received Best Actor in a Leading Role award at Iran Cinema Celebration as well as Iran Film Critics and Writers Association.
Nowruz starts with the beginning of spring in Iran where people hold ceremonies for the onset of the season.
Festivities for the Persian New Year started March 20, 2018 with Iranian cinemas hosting a selection of movies during Nowruz holidays.
